Course Description: First Due Ropes was designed on the premise that not everybody has a tech team and not every call needs a tech team. Sometimes we just have to get in their and do what’s needed, do whats best, and do the best we can with what we have. This course dives in to the bare bones basics and how to accomplish those big tasks with little equipment. Our focus is the typical car over the embankment, one to two patients needing minor extrication and a basic two line rope system to support all needed operations. The course will cover getting the first person over the edge to further our size up within seconds of arrival, determining the fastest and safest way to get personnel to the patient, and the patient back to the road. We will focus on gear in your hands and repetitions in the field giving you practical training today that you can use tomorrow.
